Clarkston, GA

Refugee City

Clarkston, Ga is America’s refugee city. As the most ethnically diverse square mile in America, Clarkston has been the first American city for over 60,000 refugees. Walking down the street, you see the sights and sounds of the world all in one beautiful place.

While Clarkston has done what it can to welcome new neighbors, it is still difficult to go through the trauma that many refugees go through and then be placed in a new place where you don’t know the language and struggle to make sense of a new culture.

In the midst of this, our cultural coaches comes alongside refugees and help them make sense of this new world.

What We Do

Build Bridges

Welcome happens when people begin to reach out to those who are new or different and make them family. Often, for this to happen, someone needs to build bridges of trust between the two groups. We love to do that.

Cultural Coaches

Bringing dignity and purpose to a person happens when we take the time to listen, encourage and empower people to be all that God desires them to be. Our cultural coaches do this one person and one family at a time.
